Many of the gravestones at Saint Francis Xavier Church cemetery in Sussex have received a facelift thanks to the efforts of wonderful volunteers and $4,676 in support through the provincial Community Investment Fund. The cemeteries in our community are important to preserving the legacies of those who came before us.
It’s so interesting to see film makers at work in New Brunswick. The Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture is supporting the making of UNSEEN, a feature film currently being shot at 21 locations in Saint John, including the Aquatic Centre. I was happy to stop by today to be shown some of the action by Steve Foster, Sandy Hunter and writer/actor Taylor Olson who wrote the script based on his real life experiences with homelessness.
Unseen Film NB Ltd., Hemmings Films, Cazador and Brass Door Productions Inc. are producing the film to be aired on Crave.
Film making is an important contributor to the economy in areas where it takes place.
I always look forward to catching up on the great work being done by the staff and volunteers of the NB Sports Hall of Fame in Fredericton. Their preservation and promotion of our province’s sports heritage is important to capturing the story of who we are as New Brunswickers.
