New Brunswick Youth Orchestra Performs in Front of Princess Anne for 8th Hussars 175th Anniversary
The 175th anniversary of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s) regiment is special on its own, but tonight’s commemorative concert with the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra in Moncton was pure magic. Having Princess Anne, colonel-in-chief of the regiment for 50 years, address the young performers and the crowd was the most incredible touch. I am looking forward to seeing Her Royal Highness in Sussex on Sunday where the 8th Hussars roots are so deeply planted. Broad Street and the train station area of town, which is of course the home of the 8th Hussars Museum, will be a good place if you’re hoping to see her.
