A satellite office to help people with disaster financial assistance claims related to the storm on Feb. 28-29 will open in Sussex on Thursday, May 23.


The office will be located at the NB Power building at 90 Leonard Dr. The hours will be Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. by appointment only. Claimants must book in advance. To book an appointment call 1-506-476-7174.


Claimants will be able to:

• Pick up application packages;

• drop off completed application packages;

• and get help filling out applications.


As part of a disaster financial assistance application, claimants will need a denial letter from their insurance company and have Confirmation of Insurance Form Appendix A (from application package) filled out by their insurance company.
