To make a visit to our provincial parks more accessible AND to encourage readers to use our libraries, you can now sign out a park pass with your library card. One pass per card, which encourages everyone to get a library card.
You can sign out a pass for three days.
Have fun at the park….and take that great book with you to enjoy a little rest and relaxation.
What an amazing fire department we have in Sussex. These men and women are always there when we need them the most, sacrificing themselves and their own family time for training and to respond to calls in our darkest hours. I just have so much respect for what they do for our community.
On Friday night they were celebrated for their dedication and years of service during the Sussex Fire Department banquet. The camaraderie and care among these firefighters was so obvious, and no wonder…last year alone they responded to 297 calls and logged over 6,348 volunteer hours training and responding to fires and other emergencies like floods.

On Saturday 300 cyclists gathered in Sussex for Ellen's Tour de Sussex 2024 to celebrate the legacy of Ellen Watters and elevate the importance of enhanced bicycle safety. Ellen died in 2016 when the bicycle she was riding was struck by a car just outside Sussex. ❤️
