NB Workers Benefit Application Now Available

The application for the one-time New Brunswick Workers Benefit is now available online.

This a $300 support to help households earning under $70,000 make ends meet as we all face rising costs everywhere, from the grocery store to the gas station. Because the province doesn’t have access to federal Revenue Canada data, we can only identify those who qualify through this application form. I hope everyone who fits this criteria gets their application in for this help.

To qualify, applicants must:

-apply by June 30

-be a New Brunswick resident at the time of their application

-have been aged 19 or older as of Dec. 31, 2023

-filed a New Brunswick tax return for 2022 or 2023

-had family net income of $70,000 or less for that taxation year (2022 or 2023)

-had family working income of $3,000 or more for that taxation year (2022 or 2023).

*I've had a few seniors reach out regarding this supplement. While this specific benefit is for working New Brunswickers, the Low-Income Seniors' Benefit application will be available starting April 1st. We have increased the amount of the Low-Income Seniors' Benefit to $600.
