Speaking with Constituents on Flood Mitigation Plan Implementation in Sussex

I enjoyed spending time this morning talking about flood mitigation plans with constituents who have had to ensure a lot of rough years with devastating flooding to their properties in Sussex and Sussex Corner. Thank you for all the great conversations, and thank you especially to Brian MacNichol for showing me around your Meadow Crescent property and the area where the berm is expected to be built to help save your home and about 80 others in your neighborhood.

A partnership between the federal, provincial and municipal governments has resulted in a committment of $38 million to mitigate flooding in the community. The project will include a creek diversion as well as the construction of a berm in Sussex Corner.
