Update on the Explore NB Travel Incentive Program

New Brunswickers embraced the opportunity to travel this past summer. The Explore NB Travel Incentive program was a huge success and the first of its kind in Canada. We are excited that 25,257 applications were submitted.

We understand some of you are waiting to receive your rebate. Rebates have begun to be issued and our team will continue working diligently every day to get rebates in the hands of eligible applicants as soon as possible.

In the recent Speech from the Throne, our government made a commitment to reoffer the Explore NB Travel Incentive program. If anyone has travelled in New Brunswick that included an overnight stay since Oct. 2020, they should keep those receipts. We are sensitive to the COVID-19 situation and do not encourage non-essential travel while any Public Health travel restrictions are in place. However, New Brunswickers are encouraged to keep any receipts up until March 31, 2021, if and when leisure travel across the province is permissible. The winter program will be very similar to the summer program, with, of course, winter products added as eligible expenses.
