Spotlight on Seniors Event in Petitcodiac/Three Rivers - Sept 17, 2026
I will be hosting a Spotlight on Seniors event in Petitcodiac/Three Rivers on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Seniors and their friends, family and caregivers are welcome to this FREE afternoon to ask questions and learn about the programs, services and resources that are available to people as they age.
There are many benefits and supports available to seniors, but too often people simply don't know they exist, whether they qualify, or who they should contact to get started. As MLA, I want to help constituents make these importation connections.
For example, did you know that you might qualify for in-home supports? There are also programs that may help seniors make modifications to their homes to make them safer, healthier and more accessible through forgivable loans. Some seniors may qualify for the Low-Income Seniors' Benefit, while others may be eligible for federal benefits they are not currently receiving.
Health and drug coverage can also be confusing to navigate. Seniors will have an opportunity to learn more about their options, including NB Health Link and the important role that local pharmacists can play in helping manage their healthcare.
One of the goals of this event is to put as many of these resources as possible in one room. Representatives from the Department of Social Development, Service Canada, the RCMP, NBCC/Senior Care Navigation, 211, Vision Loss, the Alzheimer’s Society, Heart & Stroke, Life Line and other organizations will be there to provide information and answer questions.
The Spotlight on Seniors session will take place on Thursday from 1 - 3:00 p.m. at Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame, 5 Hooper Lane, Petitcodiac. We will also have refreshments.
For more information, please contact my constituency office at 506-567-4689.
I hope to see you there.
