Spotlight on Seniors Event in Three Rivers
I was so happy to host a very successful Spotlight on Seniors event today in The Community of Three Rivers/Petitcodiac to provide seniors and their caregivers a direct connection to services, programs and resources available to them as they age.
Organizations representing the community, as well as provincial and federal programs, were available to answer questions and provide information to ensure people have the details they need for support. Often making connections to the right resources is difficult and today I beleive we made that a little easier.
Seniors have built our communities, raised their families, ran our businesses and contributed to our workforces, and are loyal volunteers in our community. They are invaluable citizens.
I thank the seniors and organizations who attended for the social interaction and information sharing, and I am so grateful to the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame Inc for the wonderful venue and lunch, as well as my tireless constituency assistant Alissa Landry who put so much into organizing the afternoon and is always there to help constituents when they need it.
