2022 VIVE Awards

Over the past two years, our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, neighbours and colleagues have been putting their lives on the line to get us through the COVID-19 pandemic. Stand with us as we say thank you to them for their courage and strength.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Women’s Equality Branch has announced the recipients of its second annual Minister's Awards for Excellence in Championing Gender Equality – VIVE. These awards recognize women and girls from diverse backgrounds who are advancing gender equality.

This year’s recipients are:

· Youth Champion – Vera Chen, New Maryland

· Community Champion – Lyne Chantal Boudreau, Moncton

· Business Champion – Cathy Simpson, Rothesay

· Everyday Champion – Rev. Elizabeth Stevenson, Kingston

· Government Champion – Michele Cronin, New Maryland

These individuals are powerful leaders and change-makers. Their accomplishments inspire us to create a more equal, diverse and inclusive world. We celebrate their stories today and will remember them as we continue to advance gender equality in New Brunswick.
